Use this form to create an account.

This will offer access to online resources and allow you to order items from our Catalogues. To view collections in the Reading Room, you will need to upgrade to a Reader's Ticket on arrival at the Library.

    There was a problem syncing your details to our ALMA system so you may not have full access to all Library resources. We will work on fixing this as soon as possible. Please email llgcarlein@llgc.org.uk if you need access sooner.

    Important: You will need your Reader's Ticket number and password to log into the Library catalogue and to use the Library's services. Please make a careful note of them.

    When visiting the Library to upgrade your online ticket to a full 3 year ticket, you must bring with you two proofs of identification, one of them showing your current address.

    No reader's ticket can be issued without adequate proof of identity being given.

    You can change your password on the following page; you will need to log in with your ticket number and current password, and then choose Change Password.

    Section 1: Personal Information

    Password must be at least 12 characters long and contain at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, and one number

    Some resources are limited to registered readers with an address in Wales.

    If you are outside the UK, please enter your address manually.

    We use phone numbers to contact Readers if there is a problem with items requested for viewing in the Reading Room.

    This information is required to ensure that we comply with the licenses for the electronic resources we offer.

    The personal information you provide us during registration will be used to provide audited access to our collections and all other services available to you as an NLW account holder.

    Why do I need an account?

    You need an account to be able to:

    • Order material on the Catalogue
    • To view some online resources
    • Access subscriptions (depending on your address - see the 'What can I access' page)
    • Visit Clip Corners to view restricted clips on the Clip Cymru website

    What's the difference between an account and a Reader's Ticket?

    Account

    This form allows you to create an account.

    It gives you access to online resources and allows you to order material from the Catalogue. There are some restrictions if you don't live in Wales. See the What can I access page for details

    Reader's Ticket

    You will need a Reader's Ticket to view collections in the Reading Room. You can upgrade your account to a Reader's Ticket at the Library.

    You will need to bring 2 forms of identification, one including your current address.

    How can I renew my Account/Reader's Ticket?

    It's not currently possible to renew an account online. You can however register for a new one using this form. This will give you a new ticket number.

    Reader's Ticket

    You can renew your Reader's Ticket by visiting the Library. Please bring your current ticket and proof of your address.
